My name is Carina Easson and I am a senior at Oxford High School. I have taken two years of photography classes and have finished 19 assigned photoshoots and many independent photoshoots. I have studied the principles of art, the elements of art, color theory, depth of field, rule of thirds, and many other art concepts.
My photos tend to have a lot of contrast and black point and some of my shoots are completely in black and white. I usually convey a strong message in each one of my photos but try to present the topic in a very simplistic way. My photos never have a lot of back ground distractions and are usually taken in a photo studio on a black or white back drop. A lot of my photoshoots have to deal with social issues or the struggles that people of all ages live with today. I took photos at the Womens' March in Washington D.C. and shot the thousand of people that were there chanting for what they believe in and singing with the people that marched with them. I have also done photoshoots that pertain to depression, anxiety, self-harm, self-confidence, and abuse. Overall, I want my photos to make the viewer stop and contemplate what they can do to help the problem conveyed. |
